Cookies are small text files which enable specific information about the device on your access terminal (PC, smartphone, etc.) to be stored. We use cookies on our websites. Our Cookie Policy gives you additional information about our cookies and the Cookie Preference Center enables you to set your cookies in accordance with your needs.

We should also like to draw your attention to the fact that you can also set cookies individually in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, this website, and other websites, may no longer be displayed correctly. If you want a complete and current overview of all third-party access to your internet browser, we recommend that you instal a browser plugin created for this purpose. You can also configure your computer to be informed automatically when a cookie is sent. Alternatively, you can disable all cookies. To do this, you must change the browser settings on each browser and device you use. Each browser has small differences. We therefore invite you to consult the help menu on your browser to find out how to modify your cookies. If you disable your cookies, you may lose access to many features which make pages and applications more efficient, and some of our services may no longer work.

5. Integration of third-party services and content

As part of our online offering, our site partly incorporates third-party content, such as YouTube videos, Google Maps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites. This always assumes that the providers of such content (hereinafter referred to as “Third Party Providers") receive your IP address. Without this IP address, Third Party Providers cannot send content to your browser. We only include this content on our website to provide you with useful information or to facilitate a process for you without further processing. For this reason, the legal basis for this data processing is Article 6 paragraph 1(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest consists in being able to offer you this content as a service. In addition, some services are only activated in the manner explained above if you actively select them. In such cases, the data processing is based on Art. 6 para. 1(a) of the GDPR. If you do not wish to benefit from such content, you may make the corresponding settings in your browser settings. We make every effort only to use content whose respective providers limit the use of your IP address to the provision of content. However, we cannot exercise any influence if a third-party provider registers your IP address for statistical purposes for example. As and when we receive information, we forward this information to the users.

6. Analysis of user behaviour and other services

6.1. Google Analytics and Tag Manager

On our site, we use Google Analytics and Tag Manager, a web analytics service and related support tool from Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics and Tag Manager use cookies to deliver this service. The information generated by the cookies about the customer's use of the website will generally be transmitted to a Google server in the United States for storage. Anonymity of the IP address is the rule on the Bâloise website, which means that your IP address is shortened before it is transmitted to Google. In certain exceptional cases, the full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the United States where it will be abbreviated. Google will not link the IP address provided by the customer's browser to other data when Google Analytics is consulted. At our request, Google will use this information, with your consent or for technical reasons, to evaluate the customer's use of the website, to compile reports on activity of the website and to provide the website operator with other services related to website and internet usage. In the case of technically necessary cookies, the legal basis is provided by Art. 6, para. 1(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to ensure the best possible functionality of the website. For all other cookies, our processing is based on your consent in the Cookie Preference Center in compliance with Art. 6 para. 1(a) of the GDPR.

The following data may be recorded or analysed anonymously for statistical purposes only:

  • the pages visited and the order in which they were consulted;
  • the operating system and browser used;
  • the date and time when the page was consulted;
  • the address of the website previously consulted if you used a direct link to access our site;
  • information on its origin.

6.2. Google Places API

On some websites, we use Google Places APIs to make it easier for our users to search for a site and automatically complete the address information. Data collected through a search using Google Places API covered by Google's terms of use. Google processes data on the use of Places by the user. For more information https://developers.google.com/maps/terms?hl=of#section_9.

6.3. Google AdWords Conversion Tracking and Google Remarketing

We use Google AdWords Conversion Tracking and Google Remarketing for advertising purposes.
As part of Google Conversion Tracking, Google Adwords saves a cookie on your computer if you have accessed our website through a Google ad. These cookies are disabled after 30 days and do not identify the user. If you visit certain pages of our websites and the cookie has not yet been disabled, both Google and we may know that you have clicked on the ad and have been transferred to this page. Each Adwords customer receives a different cookie, which is also true for us. It is therefore impossible to track cookies through the websites of Adwords customers. The information collected by conversion tracking cookies is used to compile conversion statistics for Adwords customers. Adwords customers discover the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were then transferred to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any information which allows users to identify themselves personally. If you do not wish to participate in the tracking process, you can refuse to accept the corresponding cookie, for example by disabling the "Target Cookies” category of cookies in our Cookie Preference Center. The legal basis for our use of Adwords is your consent in accordance with Art. 6, para. 1(a) of the GDPR. As regards Google Remarketing, the cookies, on an anonymous basis, enable your web search behaviour to be known, for marketing purposes. The information acquired is used to match advertising offers to your interests. Under no circumstances do these technologies collect or store personal data to determine your identity. In addition, the DoubleClick by Google cookie (Pixel TAG) is used to enable the re-marketing of products such as AdWords in the Google Display network. Cookies store information such as the date of your visit and information to determine whether this is your first visit, as well as data relating to the website which referred you to this site. You can also set these cookies individually in the Cookie Preference Center.

6.4. DoubleClick by Google

DoubleClick by Google is a service of Google Inc. DoubleClick by Google uses cookies to show you ads which are relevant for you. For this purpose, your browser is assigned a fictitious identification number (ID) to verify which ads have been displayed in your browser and which ones have been viewed. The cookies do not contain any personal information. The use of DoubleClick cookies of Facebook "I like" buttons enables Google and its partner sites to display ads based on previous visits to our website or other sites. The information generated by the cookies is transmitted by Google to a server in the United States for evaluation purposes, and is stored there. Google data will only be transferred to third parties if required by law or in connection with the processing of order data. Under no circumstances will Google merge your data with other data entered by Google. By using our website, you consent to Google processing of data about you, in the manner described above, and the intended purpose of such processing. You can adjust the recording of cookies by making an ad hoc setting in our Cookie Preference Center. Your consent under Art. 6 para. 1(a) of the GDPR also serves as a legal basis for us in such cases.

Bâloise takes appropriate technical and organisational security measures to prevent any such incidents within the group's system. As your computer is outside the security perimeter controlled by Bâloise, it is therefore your responsibility, as a user, to be aware of the required necessary security precautions and to take the required measures. Bâloise accepts no liability for any losses you may suffer as a result of the loss or manipulation of data.

10. Secure Socket Layer (SSL)

Secure Socket Layer (SSL) is a protocol for secure data transmission over the internet. Most browsers support this process. SSL uses the Public Key process, where data encrypted using a publicly accessible key can only be re-decrypted with a specific private key. Most browsers use a key or padlock to indicate whether or not the connection is secure.
